Where were you born:
A city called Tilburg in the south of Holland.
Where do you live now:
New York.
Where are your mother and father from and if you would like to a line or two about them:
My parents are both Dutch. My Mum was a nurse, my Father a sailor. They lived in the same building and fell desperately in love with each other. The rest is history.
A couple of things of which you have done or are doing now and your inspiration and reasons for doing them:
I love to cook, especially for other people. I've been to cooking school, but would love to study more. I'm happiest when I’m in the kitchen. It’s my therapy.
Did you see yourself or where you seen as beautiful/pretty growing up:
I was the tallest girl in my class, and naturally skinny. As a result I was bullied at school, and did not ever view myself as pretty. I was incredibly shy and self-conscious. I didn't find my strength and self-confidence until I started modeling.
What is beauty to you:
Confidence.
What do you find beautiful in others:
A good soul.

What are your thoughts about ageing and beauty:
Embracing your age and your lines. They tell a story of your experience and the journey you've been on. Grow old gracefully.

My loved ones and my passions.

I'm incredibly loyal and supportive to those I love. I guess that gives me a sense of identity if that makes sense?

I find the amount of homeless people in London very upsetting, and am active with charities that help with this. Now that I’m in New York I’m looking to help here too.

Pilates mainly. And spin twice a week.
What do you do to keep in your mind in shape:
I read a lot, and cook. A nice glass of scotch if all else fails.

Avoid the sun, and drink a lot of water.
What little things do you buy just for you even though they may never be seen or known to others:
Just for me? Shoes and Lingerie.

I like taking baths, sleeping in late and being lazy.
What is one of the most important things for you in you life whether it’s something you have or are looking to achieve:
The relationships I have with my friends and family. I am looking forward to life after modeling. Working hard at something I am passionate about.
Who represents a beautiful person for you at this moment and why:
My Sister. She's a beautiful person to me, and I’m impressed every day by her strength and courage despite her going through some incredibly challenging times recently.
A moment in your life that had a big effect on who you are now:
When I gave myself permission to be myself, do what I feel is right to make myself happy, regardless of what others may think.
Any other thoughts on health, mental health, age, beauty, life you would like to share:
"Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep, really sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough" - Ernest Hemingway
