Where were you born:

Dublin Ireland, by the sea

Where do you live now:

London /Hoxton with my boyfriend Ben.

Where are your mother and father from:

They are both from Ireland. My mum who I call Kimmy is such a special woman-I’ve never seen strength like it, she works as the head councillor in the bereavement department in Ireland’s biggest children hospital. My Dad Roddy is also very wonderful. We look very similar now. Both bald with amber eyes.

A couple of things of which you have done or are doing now and your inspiration and reasons for doing them:

I used to do gymnastics! Which I adored growing up!! Then after being a stunt girl on the film ‘THE REIGN OF FIRE” I begged my Mum to put me into acting class, then acting became the next obsession! Then modelling came into my life for a few years- which was amazing! I got to travel the world & pretend to be a grown up for a few years! I always continued with my acting which then turned into a career in film and TV.Last year I decided that I wanted to create something .When I was 15 years old I developed Alopecia, within one year I was completely Hair Free, now I am on a mission to change the constructs of beauty standards and empower women to do the same. My mission is to advocate and spread the word of self acceptance and authenticity, to make a stand against the glamorized and photo shopped images the media so frequently represents. With all the knowledge I have accumulated over the past 10 years I  have decided to create a digital space to share all my knowledge. Hair free is a platform offering emotional and practical advice covering topics on health, beauty, wellness and fashion. Through Hair Free my aim is to normalise the condition in both the fashion and beauty industries, to challenge conventional beauty standards and most importantly build a strong community so people can feel connected to others going through the same.

What is beauty to you.

Beauty can’t be defined, it’s different for everyone. Beauty is your own personal perception.

What do you find beautiful in others:

To me beauty is kindness. People who live out their lives being kind to others and to themselves

What are your thoughts about ageing and beauty:

With each year I get older I become a better, fuller version of me. Knowledge & confidence and the ability to be totally free with oneself is pretty amazing and I feel that comes with age and experience.

What gives you strength in life:

The people I love around me.

What gives you a sense of identity:

Identity is a funny thing.. It changes and evolves over the years. I try not letting anything define me.

What causes are close to you heart:

Mental health. Lots of dear people in my life have or had experiences with challenging mental health. I included.

What do you do to keep in shape physically and how often:

Yoga every day, sometimes I go for a run or spin or do a fun barre class!

What do you do to keep in your mind in shape:

Yoga and meditation and talking about my problems to my loved ones.

What do you do to look after your skin:

I TRY and drink water, I moisturize, but I probably should spend less time in the sun ....
